Do-It-Yourself Method Installing
Granite Paving stones
 Last   2 of 2

Using a screed or 2x4 board, level the sand to a height of 1/4 to 3/8" above desired base: and/or remove sand as required. Using a fine spray of water, thoroughly wet the sand and let dry.

Now lay Pavers hand tight together from a straight edge on the smooth surface working forward on top of the Pavers. Be sure not to disturb surface before laying Pavers. As the Pavers are laid, be sure that each Paver is level and even with the other Pavers and that the gaps between them are as small as possible.

After the Pavers have been properly installed, spread sand across the surface. Vibrate the pavers to grade. If tamping, use a board to lay across Pavers, otherwise Pavers could break.

Sweep sand into joints and hose off excess silt. Now step back and enjoy; you have just completed a very professional job that will give you years of pleasure.
